The Midwest ACF Regional biennial conference was held July 3rd - 6th, 2008 at Radisson Hotels and Conference Center, Plymouth (Minneapolis), MN. It was a successful event with almost 200 people in attendance. The theme of the conference was: "One Life, One Mission: Understanding and Fulfilling God's Purpose for You and Your Family." One of the main speakers, Pastor Tony Oliha reminded us that only the extra mile deserves and reaps the reward. Any work done without going the extra mile is only a duty call. Illustrating this idea, he reminded us that water at 211 degrees Fahrenheit is very hot; however, the power to move turbines and generate electricity or move other machinery does not happen until the hot water acquires the extra or additional 1 degree Fahrenheit. "We should be willing to go the extra mile if we are to make any significant impact in our ministry, community or whatever we are called to do," he concluded.

Some of the other highlights of the conference include Mini Group Workshops on a variety of topics, Celebration of "Young Marriages," "Stir Up the Gift in Children" and Missions Banquet. We were also graced by the presence of the National chairman, Bro Joe Richardson to whom we remain grateful for his unselfish and dedicated service and exemplary leadership skills.
